I think I like every kind of airplane. That’s pretty amazing when you consider how many there are. Like those big Boeing and MD / McDonnell Douglas jets you take on a commercial aviation airline trip.

I like watching airplanes and looking at airplane pictures books. Also, I use live airplane tracking on the Internet. Let me tell you, the sky is more crowded than you think!

Once I took a tour of the largest airplane ever built, at least if you measure size by the wingspan or height. That’s the Spruce Goose, built by aviator Howard Hughes. Some say the biggest airplane is the heaviest. I disagree.

Then there are those little things private pilots fly in general aviation. I’ve flown in a few. I am looking forward to flying in the Cirrus Vision SJ50.

Flying is fun, but you’ll never find me reading lists of airplanes for sale. However, I have learned how to buy an airplane.

What about a model airplane? You can get a model airplane plan and make your own. I built plenty of model airplanes from the kit when I was a kid.

Today you can build working model airplane. Maybe your desire is an electric model airplane. Did you know you can get free plans foam airplanes? How about wooden airplane plans?

Did you ever make paper airplanes? I still can make a good paper airplane. Do you know anyone who still knows how to make paper airplanes? I can draw a pretty good cartoon airplane too.

Did you know people make beer & soda can airplanes?

Maybe you like things more high-tech, like flight simulator airplane games.

Many people like airplane history. Take the Wright brothers, who invented the airplane. At least, the first airplane invented that flew.
